Walker dismissal

Parents/Guardians –

For the safety of all students, we are making a change to walker dismissal.  For the remainder of the school year, walkers will be dismissed from classrooms at 3:23.   They will no longer come to Travis for pick up.  Parents will need to come to the side door (the same door used for drop off in the morning) with your walker signs to pick up any students in PK, K or 1st.  Students in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade will be released to walk home on their own per our district policy.  Thank you for understanding that every students’ safety is our number one priority.

Also, on Monday we will be taking part in viewing the solar eclipse.  The school district has provided appropriate solar glasses for students and they will be monitored by staff while they safely view the solar eclipse.  If you do not want your child to take part in the viewing, please contact their teacher.  Help our students get excited about the event by sending them to school in black, gold, or white!

The dismissal change will begin Monday, April 8.

Thank you for your understanding!

Have a great weekend!
